We sell two virtual name card plans: Brand Presence and Business Add-ons. Both give you one editable profile that you share by link and QR code. The difference is what happens after someone opens it. This guide helps you choose by looking at how you actually work: from home, on calls, and over email and chat.

If you are new to the idea, start with what a virtual name card is. It explains the basics in a few minutes.

Key points

  • Both plans give you the same profile, the same link and the same QR code.
  • Brand Presence is about how you present yourself: details, links, documents, gallery, templates and analytics.
  • Business Add-ons adds tools for bringing people back to you: bookings, enquiries, contact leads, forms, CRM and export.
  • Both plans are paid once. There is no subscription.
  • Set-up is not instant. After payment, your order is recorded for profile set-up.
  • Teams order one profile per person through our contact page.

What both plans share

Whichever plan you choose, you get one profile with a permanent link. You can edit it at any time, and the link and QR code stay the same. That matters for remote work, because your details travel in places you cannot easily update: old email threads, calendar invites, chat histories and recorded calls.

Both plans include everything in Brand Presence. Here is the full list, built from our plan data:

Every feature in the first block is included in both plans. The second block is what Business Add-ons adds.

Who Brand Presence fits

Brand Presence suits people whose main need is to be easy to find and easy to save. Typical examples:

  • A solo remote worker who meets new people mostly by email and video call.
  • Someone in a salaried role who wants a better email signature and a QR code for Teams or Zoom.
  • A job seeker who wants one link holding a CV, a portfolio and contact details. See our guide to virtual name cards for video interviews.
  • A consultant at the start who wants to look professional before needing lead tools.

What you can do with it:

  • Put your profile link in your email signature, so every email carries your details.
  • Add your QR code to your video call background, so people can save you during a call.
  • Share documents, such as a CV or a capabilities sheet.
  • Show a gallery of work, a list of products or testimonials you have received.
  • Choose which sections show and in what order with Visibility & Order.
  • Keep some material private with Password Protection.
  • See how your profile is used with Analytics.

If people mostly contact you by email or phone after seeing your card, Brand Presence is usually enough.

Who Business Add-ons fits

Business Add-ons suits people who need the card to bring work back to them, not just to present them. Typical examples:

  • Remote sellers who meet buyers on calls and need them to book the next meeting.
  • Freelancers and consultants who want enquiries to arrive in one place.
  • Small businesses that collect contacts and want to follow them up properly.

What it adds:

  • Bookings, so contacts can book time with you from your profile.
  • Enquiries and Forms, so people can send you a message or answer a few questions.
  • Contact Leads, so visitors can leave their own details for you.
  • Subscribers, for people who want to hear from you again.
  • Get Reviews, to ask clients for a review.
  • Card Scanner, to add the details from a paper card you are handed at an occasional in-person meeting.
  • CRM, to keep the contacts you collect together in your dashboard.
  • Export, to take those contacts out when you need them elsewhere.

If you sell remotely, the bookings, leads and CRM tools usually decide it. Our guide to using a virtual name card in remote sales shows how they fit into a sales week.

What one-time pricing means over three years

Many digital tools charge a monthly fee. Our plans charge once. Here is how to compare the two honestly, without guessing anyone else's prices.

Call the one-time price P and a typical monthly fee M. The price box above shows P for your store.

AfterOne-time planMonthly subscription
1 monthP1 × M
12 monthsP12 × M
24 monthsP24 × M
36 monthsP36 × M

The one-time plan costs the same whether you keep it for one month or three years. A subscription keeps adding M each month. To compare, multiply the monthly fee you have been quoted by 36 and set it beside P.

Three things to check before you decide:

  • What the monthly fee includes. Some subscriptions charge more for analytics, forms or bookings.
  • Whether the price changes. Subscription prices can rise over time.
  • What happens if you stop paying. With some services, the profile stops working.

For other providers' current prices, see the vendor site. We do not quote them here, because they change.

Upgrading later

There is no self-service upgrade button. If you start on Brand Presence and later need the Business Add-ons tools, contact us and we will explain the options for your order.

If you already know you will want bookings, enquiries or leads within the next few months, it is usually simpler to choose Business Add-ons from the start.

A team of several people

Each person needs their own profile, because each person has their own name, number and email. We do not sell a separate team plan or a team admin account.

For several people:

  1. Decide which plan each person needs. A sales team may need Business Add-ons, while support staff may only need Brand Presence.
  2. Contact us about ordering one profile per person.
  3. Agree a template and colours, so every profile looks consistent.

Freelancers working alone should read our guide for freelancers and consultants, which compares the two plans for solo work.

Matching the plan to your week

It often helps to picture an ordinary working week rather than a feature list.

If your week is mostly internal calls and email, with the occasional new contact, you need to be easy to recognise and easy to save. A clear profile, a signature link and a QR code on your background cover that. Brand Presence is enough. If your week includes several first calls with people outside your company, think about what happens after each call. Do they email you, or do they need to pick a time for the next meeting? If it is the second, Bookings saves a round of messages for every call. That points to Business Add-ons. If your week is spread across time zones, booking becomes more valuable still. A buyer several hours ahead can choose a slot while you are asleep. Without it, one meeting can take a day of emails to arrange. If you collect contacts at online events or webinars, contact leads and forms let attendees leave their details as they scan your code. The CRM keeps them together, and Export lets you move them into the system your company uses. If you mostly share documents, such as reports, brochures or a CV, both plans include Documents. Choose by what else you need.

Common mistakes when choosing

  • Buying for features you will not set up. Bookings only help if you keep your availability up to date. Be honest about what you will maintain.
  • Choosing by price alone. Both plans are paid once. Over the years you use the card, the difference matters less than whether it does the job.
  • Forgetting the follow-up. A beautiful profile that nobody can respond through is a missed chance if you sell.
  • Ordering for a team without agreeing a template. Agree colours and section order first, so the profiles match.
  • Expecting the profile the same day. Set-up is not instant. Order before you need it.

A quick way to decide

Answer these four questions:

  1. Do people book meetings with you? If yes, lean towards Business Add-ons.
  2. Do you want people to leave their details for you? If yes, Business Add-ons.
  3. Do you need to move contacts into another system? If yes, Business Add-ons, for Export.
  4. Is your main goal a better signature and video background? If yes, Brand Presence.

If all four answers point to presentation rather than follow-up, Brand Presence is the sensible choice. You can compare both side by side on our virtual name card plans page.

How buying works

  1. Choose a plan on the virtual name card page.
  2. Pay once at checkout.
  3. Your order is recorded for profile set-up. This is not instant.
  4. When your profile is ready, add your details and share your link.
